JAY
PEAK THE MOUNTAIN recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and
expanded to a four-season destination. Jay has been bringing the best
fresh natural snowfall on the east coast, hands down, for 50 years. The
woods are unforgettable and you will have runs that future ones will be compared
to. Jay peak's boundary-to-boundary woods policy makes it a favorite among
advanced skiers and riders and the glades are not just for experts. The
mountain has the most beginners and intermediate tree skiing in the East. Once
the season gets started, Jay consistently gets MORE SNOW than anywhere else in
New England (twice as much in many resorts). Because of the mountains unique
location and geographical features you can count on fresh snow! Jay is
also the home of Vermont’s only Arial tram one of eight lifts accessing you to
385 acres of terrain and 76 trails. I really love the vibe and the
natural, raw, untouched elements here. Jay's glades, terrain, and
philosophy are that of a real ski experience not to be missed. You will be
able to see and tell how much people love working there and that you must
"respect" the mountain!
While Jay is
known for the huge base snow and epic conditions, there is a place there for
the beginners called, The Zone-jay peak's learn to ski and ride lift, trail,
and glade system. Nice wide-open slopes with four different lifts
taking you to 80 acres for the beginner and intermediate. The Zone
also includes two freestyle areas (the grom park and Rail garden), designed
for entry-level skiers and riders. Lessons are available too. Click
here for info on Skiing at Jay Peak.
